The online iReady assessment (also known as the universal screener) provides an initial view of all students’ foundational skills to help teachers identify students who may have challenges in reading or mathematics. Students in grades K-6 will take the iReady reading assessment. Students in grades 1-6 will take the iReady mathematics assessment. More information about the assessment can be found on the FCPS Universal Screener Parent Notification webpage.
This fall, students will take iReady at home instead of at school. Teachers will discuss the assessment with students in advance, including how to log in and what to expect. Resources to help families administer the assessment at home can be found on the FCPS Universal Screener webpage.

Fairfax County Public Library
How To Get A Library Card And Sign Up For RBdigital ebooks
Good news! The public library is open and you can go there to borrow books.
The LEAP pass provides a great opportunity for every student to borrow books. It starts on October 1st. FCPS students can use their name to check out books. Ask a library staff member for help. (However, if you sign up to get a regular library card, you can check out even more books!)
This video was created by the librarian at another school and shows you how to sign up for a library card online. It will also show you how to sign up for the RBdigital app for free! You can use the RBdigital app to borrow 100s of audiobooks and listen to them on a phone or tablet or listen to them on your computer through the website at https://fairfaxcova.rbdigital.com/ (You need to sign up for a library card first, and then register with RBdigital at the link above.)
Happy Reading!!!
If you have any questions, please email Linda Lindgren, Bailey’s Upper librarian, at LCLindgren@fcps.edu
