Key MS - News You Choose - 9/25/20

School Attendance

Students are expected to log into their ADVISORY CLASS every Monday from 8:00 AM – 8:30 AM for attendance and to check & connect. This is a great way for students to get organized for the week, review upcoming announcements, build connections with their teacher and peers, and be marked present for the day.

If a student is going to be absent for a period, day, or multiple days you will need to report that absence. A parent or guardian can call the attendance line at 703-313-3939 or complete the attendance form located on the KEYMS website

School Immunizations

The Code of Virginia requirements for immunizations and physicals for school entry have not been waived for School Year (SY) 2020-2021.

For students who are conditionally enrolled and have not completed the necessary immunizations as required by the Code of Virginia, FCPS will provide provisional access to virtual learning only. Schools will continue to notify families of remaining immunization requirements. Students may not participate in “in school” instruction and activities until meeting this requirement.  This immunization requirement must be fulfilled by October 8, 2020.
