The “Go Paperless” option is now available to all elementary parents to allow you to receive online progress reports starting the first quarter of SY 20/21. This will not impact any other mailings from FCPS other than the progress reports for elementary students and report cards for secondary students. To take advantage of the paperless option, please log into ParentVUE, then go to “My Account” and select "Go Paperless." (All parents and/or guardians who live with the student and share the same address must have a SIS ParentVUE account and must select the paperless option to prevent mailing of the printed progress reports.)

Fun Kick Off - 10/5
Dance Fit Day - 10/15
FCPS has established Walking Wednesdays to encourage families to get up and moving. The first one is scheduled for October 7th, which is the annual Walk to School Day. Of course, instead of walking to school, you’ll need to find a nice route in your neighborhood, maybe during recess or even a 10 min walk during your screen break will do. Please snap a photo and send to Mrs. Velishka at tvelishka@fcps.edu.
FCPS has developed multiple resources that can help with basic technology issues to support learning at home.
If there is a problem with your Clermont issued laptop, you may enter a support request ticket via the Parent and Student IT Portal.
Troubleshooting Tip:
If you or your child are having trouble with your school-issued computer at log on, this might be a quick fix. One of our programs, Snag It, takes longer than the other programs to load. Many computers will not work properly if children are trying to use their laptop prior to seeing this program load. Please make sure your child sees the orange and white “S” on the bottom toolbar before interfacing with the laptop.
Optional Tip: If you feel like your computer is being sluggish sometimes it helps to restart the computer on the school network, which can be accessed from the front loop of Clermont or near the school building. Sometimes, if updates haven’t properly pushed through on your device restarting on the school network will help it to do so.
Other FCPS Resources
-
FCPS' Parent Technology Resource page includes tip sheets in multiple languages that provide answers to basic questions about FCPS technologies.
-
FCPS’ YouTube channel has videos on basic technology topics that highlight some of the key FCPS tools, such as Google and Blackboard. These videos are designed to provide solutions for quick, simple questions.
- Broader inquiries about FCPS programs or resources for families may be directed to the Parent Resource Center at 703-204-3941, or use one of our eight Parent Information Phone Lines for information in multiple languages.
Clermont will hold two Advanced Academics Question and Answer forums. The first will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at 6:00pm and the second will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at 9:15am with our Advanced Academics Resource teacher, Mrs. Raechel Acosta. You will also learn about the Level IV referral process and testing and identification timelines. During the live meeting, families will be given the opportunity to learn more about AAP services at Clermont, ask clarifying questions, and request more information about topics covered in the video.
Please view the following videos before you attend the meeting.
After viewing the videos, use the following Google Form to RSVP and submit any questions you have.
Mrs. Acosta will email a link to the September 29th virtual meeting on September 28th and the link to the November 10th virtual meeting on November 9th. The link to the meeting will only be sent to you if you complete the RSVP form listed above. If you have any questions prior to the event, please contact Raechel Acosta at rbacosta@fcps.edu.
