 On Monday, HES staff packed and loaded big boxes of free school supplies onto FCPS school buses, drove into our neighborhoods, and delivered hundreds of them to our students. Thank you to our awesome staff, FCPS, transportation, and our bus drivers for making this possible!
There is School on Mondays!
Dear Families,
There has been some confusion regarding school on Mondays. Students have to log on with their teacher EVERY day, including Monday, at 9:20 am for morning meeting and attendance.
From FCPS: Students will receive virtual instruction 5 days per week. The week will include 4 days of live, face-to-face online instruction with teachers Tuesday through Friday. HES Back to School Night is September 24
Dear Bees,
Back to School Night is Thursday, September 24! We will have two different sessions to accommodate families with multiple students. The first session will be from 6:30-7:15 pm and the second session is 7:15-7:45 pm. We have created a BBCU link for each teacher which can be found on our Herndon ES website.
 Updated Schedule begins September 21
Look for the car with the Herndon sign with the image above. Ms. Sarah, the school librarian, will be there!
The mobile library and "in person and by phone" tech support has an updated schedule. The new schedule can be found on the HES website.
 The HES PTA treated the teachers and staff to a Starbucks "Thank You". We cannot begin to thank all of the members, who are mostly HES parents, for this surprise and delightful treat!

September 28, 4-8 pm, is HES Spirit Night at Chick-fil-A on Sunset Hills in Reston. 25% of the product sales will be donated to HES.
