Dear Dogwood Families,
We had a wonderful first week of school! We want to thank our teachers, staff, and families for all the support, communication, and by getting connected we begin our strongest virtual start to the school year ever. It was great to connect with so many families at Back to School Night last week ... for those families who were unable to join us, the link to the whole school presentation is available to you on our Dogwood website.
We continue to share important information to stay connected with you. Thank you for joining us in this work, for sharing your beautiful children and homes with us, and for your collaboration. We want to emphasize the importance of continuity of learning for our children… Please be sure to join us on Monday mornings to start the school week! See you soon!
Sincerely,
Mie Devers
Principal

Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) offers a comprehensive and sequential Family Life Education (FLE) program for students in kindergarten through grade 12. Instruction is considered a partnership between parents / guardians, school and community to support the essential learning of developing strong families, positive relationships, and a healthy community.
Parents / guardians may choose to exclude their children from all or part of the family life education program. Students who are excluded receive age-appropriate alternative health instruction, and every effort is made to encourage respect for family decisions. If you would like to exclude your child from all or part of the FLE for this school year, the exclusion forms are attached to this message and are also available online for elementary school (K-6) https://www.fcps.edu/academics/elementary-school-academics-k-6/elementary-family-life-education.Fill out the opt-out form and return it to your child's school prior to Family Life Education instruction.
