Thank you to everyone who attended our first virtual PTA meeting last night. We also want to thank Dr. Patrick, Ms. Brooks, and Mr. Barrows for their presentation.

WHAT DO THESE FUNDS GET USED FOR THIS YEAR?
The Support Excellence Campaign is just as important this year as in years past. The sooner we fully fund our campaign, the sooner your children will benefit from
- Assignment Books (these go to every student)
- Classroom & Teacher Supplies (both virtual and in classroom)
- Teacher appreciation events• Community events
- Teacher and staff development programs
- Technology (both virtual and in the classroom is needed this year)
Support Excellence And Join The PTA At Longfellow
A suggested donation of $150 per family takes the place of all silent auctions, fun fairs, carnivals and wrapping paper sales.

Join the PTA. Individual membership is $25. Add a second membership for an additional $10.
- All members receive access to our electronic Student Directory.
- Please give generously above the suggested donation to help the PTA meet these goals.
- Every donation is appreciated, and every donation helps us reach our goal. All donations are 100% are tax deductible.
- Our goal is to raise $42,000 this year to meet our regular funding needs and our technology goals! Donate online. Thank you!

Businesses Supporting Excellence - Do you own a local business and want some exposure? A $300 donation to the PTA will guarantee your business’ presence on the PTA website and in e-newsletters for the entire school year (Sept. – June). Email Shelly Breslin at ptalms@gmail.com if you have any questions. All donations are 100% tax-deductible.
Matching Donations or Grants from your Employer - Please find out if your employer matches donations from their employees or if they have a grant program to support nonprofits. Calling all Longfellow visual artists, musicians, dancers, film makers, and writers! It's time for you to express the theme "I Matter Because" through paint, photography, composition, choreography, production and writing! Yes, "I Matter Because" -that's this year's PTA Reflections theme!
Students submit their completed works of art in one or all of the six available arts categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, and Visual Arts. Students can only submit one completed work of art per category - but are welcome to provide one submission in each of the 6 categories. Additionally - you must be a Longfellow Middle School Student to enter via the links below.
Submissions will be done online. All submissions are due by Friday, October 9. Please access the website for submission rules here and the following links have been created for students to submit their entries:

Judging will take place in the fall and all students will be notified before Thanksgiving break. Student winners from the local level have the opportunity to move up through their district, region, and state PTA programs to the national level.
