Additional Student Materials
Provided By Fairview
Fairview has purchased some additional materials to support student learning in this virtual environment. These materials will be available for curbside pickup courtesy of our FCPS Bus Drivers!
Please select a date and time that best suits your family’s schedule:
Monday, September 21 or Wednesday, September 23
8:00 AM to 9:00 AM
11:00 AM to 1:00 PM
4:30 PM to 5:30 PM
Curbside pickup will take place in the lower lot (Kiss and Ride Loop) at Door 2. Please enter from Burke Centre Parkway and follow the direction of staff. A sign to include the name of your child(dren) and grade level will help expedite the process.
Want to Connect with Your Bus Driver?
We are grateful to have the support our FCPS Bus Drivers during our student material distribution process. There will be several bus drivers, from Fairview and other sites, supporting this effort. Come say hello and pick up your student's supplies.
 The Positivity Project
This is our kick-off week for the Positivity Project (P2) at Fairview Elementary! This week, we will be discussing Other People Mindset. This is an overview of P2 and will cover some important topics like how to identify the good in others, how our words and actions affect others, and how we can support other people. If you’d like to discuss these topics at home, it is often easier to use personal or real world examples. This helps make the positive messages more impactful. Each week or two we will be introducing new positive character strengths in the News You Choose! For more information, be sure to check out the Positivity Project (link) and go to the “about” section.
Parent Information Sessions for AAP Services
All parents are invited to two virtual information sessions about AAP services and the process of screening and identification. If you are unable to attend, these session recordings will be made available. If you have any questions, please contact Kristine Choi at kvchoi@fcps.edu.
- September 28 at 1:00 pm– This session will focus on the continuum of AAP services across K-12.
- October 15 at 6:00 p.m. – This session will focus on the screening and identification process for full-time, Level IV services.

*Please note: The Level IV referral deadline has been set for December 1 this year.
