Reminder: Digital Permissions Needed

Parents and guardians, if you have not already done so, please provide your permission for your child to use digital tools as assigned by their teacher. You can find a list of and information about which digital resources used at Kings Glen require parental consent here: https://kingsglenes.fcps.edu/adopteddigitalresources

Included on this page is a link to a form on which the enrolling parent or guardian will need to provide consent. Translations of the form are available on the page. Until we receive permission, your child’s teachers will not be able to use any of these tools for instruction. Please email our School Based Technology Specialist, Ms. Keaney, if you have questions about any of the digital tools.

Band and Strings News

Band and Strings hosted a recruiting assembly for all students on Tuesday, September 15 during the school day. On that afternoon, all families should have received an email which included links to the recordings of the assembly and a Google Form to sign up for Band or Strings.

There will also be a Band/Strings Q&A session for parents on Wednesday, September 16 (6:00-7:00 Strings and 7:00-8:00 Band) on BBCU. The BBCU link will be emailed to the families on Wednesday morning if they would like to join us.

School Supply Kits

Did you order pre-packaged school supply kits through EPI last Spring? The school supply kits are being delivered to homes now! If you haven't received yours yet, be on the lookout for a big brown box!  Contact Amy Johnson at kpkgevents@gmail.com with questions.

Ice Cream Social and Community Resource Fair

The KP/KG PTA's Ice Cream Social and Community Resource Fair is usually a time for our community to gather at the beginning of the school year, enjoy ice cream, and learn about community offerings and activities.

This year the event will be transformed as a virtual community resource for after-school and community activities. This site will be active all year long and contain information on how to join Scouts, camps, sports, and more --  if you have a group you would like us to add, please let Amy Johnson know at  kpkgevents@gmail.com.
