Technology Support Information

Good Morning Liberty Parents/Guardians,

We wanted to provide an update around technology and how our Tech Team is supporting our community.

First, we want to try to make clear the support process for your students. We are aware there are a handful of common issues, but in order to manage the support needed to fix them, going through the proper channels is vital.

  1. Students should check the Student Resource Site on their desktop. It has a tech page which provides some self-help guidance. They will need their FCPS login to access and login BEFORE accessing it.
  2. If you have a Red X over the volume there are instructions on the Student Site under Tech Support to fix this problem at home.
  3. If they are not able to fix the problems they should submit a ticket via this link https://itweb.fcps.edu/ITSupport/

Once that ticket is submitted and depending on the issue, Mr. Zavala or Ms. Basta will reach out to schedule an appointment to help support.

Digital Tools for Students

As we transition to a more stable virtual learning environment, teachers will begin using more digital tools to support their instruction and provide more meaningful learning opportunities. Many of these tools will support our Portrait of Graduate vision.

We have provided a link below for you to review the tools that teachers will potentially be using this year. All tools have been vetted by FCPS and protect your student’s data based off of federal guidelines and laws.

In order for your student to access these tools, we will need you to provide your consent allowing your student to use them. Please follow the directions on this link to provide your consent.

Thank you and we hope you all have a great second day of school!
