Dear Poplar Tree Families,
We are all looking forward to the first day of school on Tuesday! I hope your children enjoyed connecting with their teachers during the Meet & Greet meetings this week, and it was great to see so many parents at the Q&A session last night. If you were unable to join in the Q&A, you can check out a recording of the session here. While this school year is certainly a unique one, I am so grateful for our creative and dedicated staff and our supportive parent community. We are in this together, and together we can do anything!

Tech Help Info
To support families who are working with their children during distance learning, Fairfax County Public Schools now has a Parent Technology Help Desk. The number is 1-833-921-3277 (833-921-FCPS). It will be answered by staff 7 a.m.to 11 p.m., seven days a week. If the help desk is unable to solve the issue on the phone with the parent or guardian, they will enter a ticket on the parent’s behalf and the request for help will be transferred to the appropriate FCPS team. In addition, there are also many helpful technology resources on the FCPS Technology Support for Families site.

This is a reminder to please notify us if your child will be absent or late for their first synchronous session which begins Monday-Friday at 8:35 p.m. If your child needs to participate in their academic day asynchronously please contact the school and provide the reason. Asynchronous participation will require principal approval to count towards attendance. We will have a “call-out” for any students who were absent and marked as unverified for the reason for absence at the end of the school day at approximately, 4 p.m. If you receive that call please contact our office the next day.
