Tomorrow/Tuesday
Virtual Opening
(Replaces Our Stallion Stampede Event)
Our first ever Virtual Opening (replacing our Stallion Stampede event) will be tomorrow, September 1, 2020 at 5:30pm. Students have received an email from our School Based Technology Specialist stating that they will receive an email in their FCPS Gmail account. In order to access their Advisory class for the Virtual Opening event, they will have to retrieve the BlackBoard link from the email sent from Mrs. Lewis.
At this event, students will have the opportunity to log into their Advisory class to experience and replicate the logon process for all of their classes. They will hear a short introduction from their Advisory teacher who will explain the purpose of Advisory this year, as well as some of the more important technological “Do’s and Don’ts” that will help your student to be successful. Students will also be able to interact with their Advisory teacher and ask any pressing questions related to the topics presented. That event will run for about 30 minutes; just long enough for students to get a taste of the process and be prepared for classes on the 8th.
Our teachers are truly looking forward to meeting with their students on Tuesday. We hope to see you there as well.

There is still time to be able to obtain a laptop by appointments only. Please go to the Parent/Student portal (Linked here) and fill out the student form explaining that you were unable to attain a laptop during the scheduled distribution dates and would like to schedule an appointment to pick up a laptop. From there the Technology Team will reach out and schedule an appointment to pick up a school laptop.
TEXTBOOKS
We are in need of textbooks, library books and paperbacks that your student may still have at home. Please drop these books by Door 13 between the hours of 9am-1pm this week. Thank you for your assistance with this as we need to prepare these books to be given to students for this school year.
