Health Information and Emergency Care Forms
The Health Information Form (HIF) (SS/SE -71) and the Emergency Care Information form (SS/SE-3) provide valuable information regarding student health conditions. These forms are critical in the early identification of students who may need healthcare support in the educational environment. Along with the development of Healthcare Plans (HCP) and Action Plans, the Public Health Nurses (PHN) utilize the information contained in the HIF to develop teaching strategies for FCPS staff in order to meet the requirements of Regulation 2104 Health Services-School Health Related Needs.
In the event of any emergencies or other critical information, our communication system uses your email addresses and other information from the Emergency Care form to contact you. PLEASE be sure to give us that latest information including up to date phone numbers and email addresses.
As the school year begins virtually, it is critical that ALL parents/guardians complete these forms for SY 20-21 and are available for electronic submission by parents via their FCPS 24/7 (Blackboard) accounts within the weCare@school (weCare) module.
The deadline to complete these forms is Monday, September 7, 2020. We appreciate your help parents!

Meet more new members of our school staff!!!
Megan Kendall--1st Grade Teacher
I am super excited to join the Laurel Hill team! Here are some fun facts about myself: I am an animal lover and a total sucker for a cute dog. I love chocolate chip cookies and hikes in the woods. My family lives close by and is really important to me (my mom and I in the picture). During COVID 19 I have tried out some different hobbies: puzzles, bird watching, and painting furniture. I can't wait to get to know all of you :)

Her parents and grandparents live in Springfield, and her brother is finishing an engineering degree in California. She is a painter and textile artist, and can otherwise be found hiding somewhere with a book from her ever-growing list. Kathryn is excited to join the LHES staff for a new year of learning!

CONGRATULATIONS SANJAY!!!!
Sanjay Chandra was our 2020 Geography Bee Champion at Laurel Hill. Not only did he win the school contest, Sanjay took the online state qualifier test and advanced to the state finals. He had a great chance of making it to Nationals competition before the bee was cancelled.
All 3rd-6th graders will have a chance to join a geography bee class this year. Only 4th-6th can compete for the school championship, but 3rd graders can get a head start in their learning and ability to shine around the globe.
Mr. Cookson is the teacher sponsor of the Geography Bee for Laurel Hill ES.
Congratulations Sanjay!
