FCPSOn Laptop Distribution Starts Today!
FCPSOn laptop distributions will take place from August 19th to August 26th from 3:00-6:00 PM. Students are grouped alphabetically for each of the distribution days. Please refer to the schedule below to see when you are scheduled to pick up your new FCPS laptop, charger, and protective sleeve. Be sure to come on your assigned day to prevent traffic congestion and extended wait times. If you need an adjustment to your time, please contact Brian Eastman at BMEastman@fcps.edu.
Students MUST wear masks for laptop distribution.
Students MUST be present for laptop distribution because they are required to sign into their new computer before taking it home.

• Parents and/or guardians will drop off their student at station 1 in the front parking loop of Longfellow MS (i.e. sidewalk closest to the soccer field). Parents and/or guardians will then park in the parking lot and wait for their student to come back to their cars to log in and register. Staff will be present to guide you when you first pull up to drop off your student. Once registration is complete, parents and/or guardians will raise their hand out of the car window to indicate that registration needs to be verified. A staff member will verify successful registration before families leave Longfellow or get in the Kiss & Ride line for a yearbook.
• For Rising 7th graders – If your student has any FCPS property from their elementary school, please bring those items with you. We are collecting any technology equipment or textbooks/library books that your student may still have.
• For Rising 8th graders – If your student has any FCPS property from Longfellow MS (or another FCPS middle school), please bring those items with you. We are collecting any technology equipment and/or textbooks/library books that your student may still have.
YEARBOOK DISTRIBUTION
Yearbooks have finally arrived!
We will be distributing yearbooks at the same time as laptop pick up, so if you purchased a yearbook for your child last school year (this year’s 8th Graders) – your child can pick up their yearbook at the following times:

If you emailed us about mailing your yearbook because you have moved out of the area, please confirm your new mailing address to Ms. Reid (mreid@fcps.edu) and we will mail yearbooks as soon as possible.
Current 9th graders: Please try to come pick up your yearbook following the schedule above. If you are unable to stop by on any of the days above, please email Ms. Reid (mreid@fcps.edu) and we can try to schedule another pick up day
We have a small amount of extra yearbooks that can be purchased after all distribution days have concluded – they will be $50 and can be cash or check made out to Longfellow Middle School. We will post the date and time on our website when those can be picked up.
LOCATION: Yearbook pick-up will be at door #4 on the back side of the school near the kiss-and-ride drop-off. 9th graders will be directed straight there; current 8th graders that are collecting a yearbook will drive to that location after they are issued their laptop.
