Announcements #2

New School Counselor

I am pleased to welcome Mrs. Brooke Kirtner who joined our school counseling team this summer. She is a graduate of the University of Miami and earned her master’s degree in school counseling from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. We selected her from a large applicant pool, and we are thrilled to welcome her to George C. Marshall High School!

School counselors will spend the rest of August fine-tuning student schedules and working on a student needs assessment to determine the best way to support our students this school year. We continue to develop our Freshman Transition Program-FTP and our 20-21 social emotional learning lessons. We look forward to welcoming you back to school! All teachers will use Schoology this year for homework, assessments (some), posting documents, etc. FCPS will soon provide families with support will help familiarize students to this new platform.

Seniors and Sports
