Important Technology Information for the 2020-21 School Year
Rising 5th & 6th Graders
All rising 5th graders will be receiving a newer laptop and all rising 6th graders will be receiving new laptops this school year!
We need all current rising 5th and 6th grade devices returned.
Drop-off and Pick-up will be curbside at the front of the school. Bags will not be collected, please only bring the laptop and power cord.

Laptop Distribution for rising Kindergarten - 3rd Graders
Laptops will be distributed Tuesday, August 18 - Friday, August 21 to our incoming kindergarten students, rising 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade students.
Tuesday, August 18 - rising 2nd and 3rd graders
Thursday, August 20 - rising 1st graders
Friday, August 21 - incoming Kindergartners

Rising 4th Graders
Rising 4th graders who currently have a Poplar Tree issued laptop at home do not need to return the laptop before school starts.
You will need to turn on the laptop and connect to your home internet connection once a week for at least 30 minutes to receive computer updates. Please restart the computer to allow any updates to install and then shut it down.
If you are a new Poplar Tree rising 4th Grader, your device distribution will be on Monday, August 17.
Students in our Multi-age Classrooms
For students in our multi-age classrooms, classroom teachers will contact families individually to schedule a technology consult and distribution date.
Student Passwords
1st- 6th grade student passwords will not expire this year! Your student can continue to login to their FCPS computer, Google Apps, FCPS 24/7 Blackboard, Wixie and other FCPS applications that require their username and password.
Password Recovery: We encourage parents to setup password recovery information for their student using the FCPS Account Manager system located here https://itweb.fcps.edu/AccountManager/
