Dear Fairview Families,
I hope this email finds you well. I am very excited to announce that Mrs. Meghan Ehrman has accepted the position of Assistant Principal at Fairview Elementary School. As a proud graduate of Fairfax County Public Schools, Mrs. Ehrman is passionate about serving her community, developing relationships with staff, students, and families, and ensuring rigorous and relevant instruction. She will be a wonderful asset to an already amazing school.
Mrs. Meghan Ehrman has been working in FCPS for the past 15 years. She got her start at Churchill Road Elementary, and most recently comes to us from Terraset Elementary in Reston. Mrs. Ehrman has served as the Advanced Academic Program lead teacher while teaching fourth and sixth grade. As a school leader, Mrs. Ehrman supported grade levels team in the collaborative learning cycle to plan for and support student growth. She has in-depth knowledge and experience with Project Based Learning, Advanced Academic curriculum, workshop model, and service-learning. Mrs. Ehrman’s collaboration with others demonstrates her belief in the importance and relevance of critical and creative thinking skills in the classrooms. Mrs. Ehrman leads teams to support the positive development of children, academically, socially and emotionally. With relationships at the forefront of her work, she has built strong connections with children through her creation and sponsorship of mentoring programs and through her work as a camp owner and director. Mrs. Ehrman also has experience and a passion for outdoor learning and sustainability, so she is excited to tour our Fairview gardens. Outside of school, Mrs. Ehrman enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach, and game nights. Mrs. Ehrman is excited to make connections and to get to know the Fairview community as we begin an exciting and unique school year.
