Follow-Up From July 13 Parent Meeting
Greetings Panthers,
On Monday evening, RCMS staff held a parent meeting to share information about the planning for the return to school and provide a forum for parents' questions and answers. Unfortunately, an individual or individuals logged into the meeting and made several inappropriate comments directed at staff and community members. I apologize to our staff members and families for this unacceptable behavior. Those actions have no place here and are the opposite of the respectful and inclusive community that we strive to build and maintain.
I will not be posting the recording of last night's parent meeting. We were able to capture many of the questions that parents submitted through the chat feature. We will be working to answer those questions and post the responses. Be on the lookout for this information. In addition, our staff will continue to answer your questions as they emerge through these summer weeks. Meanwhile, I encourage you to stay informed through information shared via FCPS communications.
Future virtual meetings will be scheduled and run in a different fashion in order to make it a more secure and productive event for all parties.
