Dear Wakefield Forest Families,
Thank you to those of you who were able to join me yesterday afternoon for the Principal Coffee. You certainly had the opportunity to see the challenges of working from home. We will post the slideshow to the school website soon. For your reference, we are including a link to the recording of yesterday’s virtual meeting. FCPS staff is working to develop a protocol or regulation around the mask requirement. I know that this is a major concern for many of you, and I will share more information about that when it is available.
Registration K - 6
We will begin accepting registration paperwork in person, by appointment only, beginning July 15, 2020. Ms. Sue Holmes, KSHolmes@fcps.edu is our school registrar. Please contact her by email to schedule a time to complete your school registration process. There will be specific safety protocols in place and Ms. Holmes will share this with you when you schedule your appointment. Anyone coming to Wakefield Forest ES for any purpose must wear a face mask and follow all stated safety protocols.
Selecting Hybrid (2 days in person) or Virtual Deadline – Extended to July 15, 2020
The deadline to elect 4 days per week or in-person instruction 2 days per week has been extended to July 15, 2020. The default selection is in-person instruction 2 days per week.
To select the option that works best for your child or children, please follow the steps below: • STEP 1: Access the online form at: : https://www.fcps.edu/enroll2020 . • STEP 2: Log in with your child’s Student ID and either the enrolling parent’s email address or phone number on file in the FCPS Student Information System (SIS). • STEP 3: Make your selection and finish by clicking the “Submit Form” button at the bottom of the form. • STEP 4: Check your email for a message acknowledging receipt of your enrollment decision with additional information about the enrollment process and a link to change your selection, if desired. • STEP 5: Repeat this process for each of your children attending school in FCPS for school year 2020-21.
