Kindergarten Orientation
We are excited to welcome our newest Kindergarten Owls to Crestwood in the 2020-2021 school year! Typically, we would have had a Kindergarten Orientation during the month of May, but due to COVID, all FCPS buildings were closed. In order to give you an idea of what to expect in kindergarten, our kindergarten team created a Kindergarten Orientation video. Please click here to enjoy the video! Although we do not yet know what our return to school will look like, please understand that we are so excited to meet our new kindergarteners!
Kindergarten Registration
Do you have a child that will be five years old on or before September 30, 2020? If so, it is time to register your child for kindergarten. Although all FCPS schools and administrative buildings are closed, you can start the registration process online! If you need help with the directions below please leave a message on the main office's voice mail with your name, phone number and that you need information for Kindergarten registration. You can also check out the Crestwood Elementary School website.

Summer Learning Opportunities
FCPS school buildings will remain closed through the end of July. Therefore, we will continue to provide recommended distance learning opportunities for students throughout the summer. Your students will have access to skill practice through the iReady digital lessons through the FCPS public Universal Screener website. Students will need to enter their FCPS login credentials to access these resources. These digital activities will be available until Friday, July 31st.
Additionally, students currently in grades K-6 will receive both a Mathematics and a Language Arts Essentials Summer Practice Book in the mail by the end of June. Digital versions of the books will also be posted on the Continuity of Learning Blackboard page. These books will provide recommended practice activities for students to review essential content from the 2019-2020 school year; they are not intended to preview content from next year’s grade level but rather reinforce essential learning from this past year.
Please be sure that you contact the Main Office if you have moved and changed addresses. The Summer Learning Booklets will be mailed to the address we have in SIS, so it is essential that we have a correct address on file. Please contact Alma Catin at ANCatin@fcps.edu to update your address if needed.
Our Crestwood ES website all has many student resources to support summer learning on our Student Web Resources page such as MyOn, PebbleGo, Starfall, Dreambox, Mathfacts and SOL Pass.
Math and Reading i-Ready instruction available during June and July of 2020. Reading instruction is available to students in grades K-6, while mathematics instruction is available to those students in grades 1-6. Students can access iReady through the link on our Student Web Resources Site and log in using their FCPS username and password.

Oportunidades de Aprendizaje este verano
Los edificios escolares de FCPS permanecerán cerrados hasta finales de julio.
