Crossfield - Yearbook Pickup - June 24

Please note

Yearbook Pickup-One More Opportunity on June 24 from 9-12

Thank you to all who were able to pick up their yearbooks earlier this week. If you were unable to pickup, we will have one more opportunity on Wednesday, June 24 between the hours of 9-12.

  • Pull up to the front of the school. Have a sign in your passenger side window that lists the student(s) and teacher name(s) of those you are picking up for.
  • Prepare to open a passenger side window or pop your trunk so we can place the yearbook in your car. Do not exit your car.

We still have extra yearbooks for sale. These will be available during the pick up time on a first come, first served basis. We will be accepting checks only, made out to "Crossfield PTO" in the amount of $24.00. Please have your check ready prior to arriving at the front of the school.

** For those who are unable to pick up next Wednesday, we are working on alternative ways to get them to you.

Summer Learning

Summer Continuity of Learning

FCPS will continue to provide distance learning opportunities for students throughout the summer.Your students will have access to skill practice through the iReady digital lessons through the FCPS public Universal Screener website. Students will need to enter their FCPS login credentials to access these resources. These digital activities will be available until Friday, July 31st. If you have questions about this resource, please contact our Reading Specialist, Mrs. Soskey, at kmsoskey@fcps.edu.

Students currently accessing Lexia reading program will be able to continue using this resource throughout the summer.

Additionally, students currently in grades K-6 will receive both a Mathematics and a Language Arts Essentials Summer Practice Book in the mail by the end of June. Digital versions of the books will also be posted on the Continuity of Learning Blackboard page. These books will provide recommended practice activities for students to review essential content from the 2019-2020 school year; they are not intended to preview content from next year’s grade level but rather reinforce essential learning from this past year.

As students access these activities from June 29 to July 31, they will have the opportunity to attend one virtual office hour each week with one of our own outstanding staff members. The schedule is as follows:

Kindergarten: Mrs. Settar, Mondays, 9:00-10:00

Grade 1: Mrs. DeSimone, Wednesdays, 1:30-2:30

Grade 2: Mrs. Allan, Tuesdays, 10:00-11:00

Grade 3: Ms. Sherfey, Tuesdays, 9:00-10:00

Grade 4: Mrs. Soskey, Wednesdays, 1:30-2:30

Grade 6: Mrs. Irby, Fridays, 9:00-10:00

Special Education: Mrs. Irby, TBD

A few details:

  • All orders will be shipped directly to your home this year to accommodate whatever plan is decided on for the return to school. You will receive a personalized FedEx tracking number for your student's box. If you have already placed your order, it will still arrive at your home.
  • Unsure of whether you should order based on FCPS plans? You can cancel with a full refund if you contact 1st day by July 1. After that, there is a $15 restocking fee IF they have already packed the boxes/order for Crossfield.
