Summer Continuity of Learning
Students currently in grades K-6 will receive both a Mathematics and a Language Arts Essentials Summer Practice Book in the mail by the end of June. Digital versions of the books will also be posted on the Continuity of Learning Blackboard page. These books will provide recommended practice activities for students to review essential content from the 2019-2020 school year; they are not intended to preview content from next year’s grade level but rather reinforce essential learning from this past year.
As students access these activities from June 29 to July 31, they will have the opportunity to attend one virtual office hour each week with one of our own outstanding staff members. The schedule is as follows:
Kindergarten: Dawn Garey Tuesdays 11:00am-12:00pm
Grade 1: Laura Shepherd Tuesdays 10:00-11:00am
Grade 2: Sara Perriello Fridays 10:00-11:00am
Grade 3: Lisa Green Wednesdays 11:00am-12:00pm
Grade 4: Sabra Lowery Wednesdays 10:00-11:00am
Grade 5: Jacquelyn Argodale Tuesdays 2:00-3:00pm
Grade 6: Rachel Cohen Wednesdays 12:00-1:00pm
Special Education: Hannah Miller Mondays 1:00-2:00pm
English Language Development: Mondays 10:00-11:00am

To register your student for office hours and receive a secure link, please complete this Summer School Form by Monday June 22. Once registered, you will receive an email from your Continuity of Learning teacher prior to the start of summer school.
6th Grade Send Off
We had a terrific turnout for our Sixth Grade Send-off! Thank you so much to Mrs. Lynch, Mrs. Ivy, and all the other parents that helped make this a special day for our 6th graders! I also want to thank the GBE Staff for cheering on each student as they received their belongings and promotion certificate. We wish our students the best! Please come back and visit!
