General Information

Courageous Conversations - A Dialogue to Discuss Race, Racism, and Responsiveness at Oakton High School

Racism has no place in FCPS or at Oakton High School. As a school, we would like to provide a forum for students to access and be heard. This will be offered this Thursday, June 11 at 2:30pm through a Blackboard Collaborate session.  We hope that any interested student attends so that we may work together to ensure that all students feel heard, seen and valued.

We will post additional information in grade level google classroom sites.  This will include a link for students to register for this session and a link that will allow students to submit their questions and feedback to best guide our discussion.

Distance Learning Updates/Resources

This week is the last week of school for this school year!

  • Important resources regarding the distance learning plan can be found here.
  • All school closure resources for Oakton High School can be found here.
  • All school closure updates and resources for FCPS can be found here.
  • To better keep in touch with students during this time, information will routinely be posted on the Class level google classrooms.

Underclass Material Drop Off/Pick-up

Thank you to everyone who has dropped off school-issued items.  Wednesday June 10, we will have a make-up session and allow students to pick-up items that they need to retrieve.

For students leaving Oakton High School, we ask that they return all textbooks and materials, as well as their computer and charger.

The only items that will remain unavailable for pick-up will be items stored in PE lockers.  Those lockers were not specifically assigned to students.  As such, we are unable to properly bag items for their return.  When we are allowed to have students in the school again, we will organize a pick-up of those items.

If you are requesting to pick up an item, you need to fill out this form to ensure it is waiting for you.

Here is the schedule for drop-off and pick-up:

  • Wednesday, June 10 from 10-12 and 12:30-2:30 for make-ups and any other pick-ups students might need of items left at school.

You can find more detailed information here.
