The last day for online virtual classes is next Thursday, June 11th. The last day of school for the 2019-2020 school year is Friday, June 12th. We wish everyone a relaxing summer and look forward to our coming back together again.
Good-Bye
This time of year is always hard when we have to say good-bye to some of our amazing staff. This year Jennifer Porto, ESOL; Jennifer Alm, PAC IA; Nausheen Haider, Instructional Coach; Megan Adair Casteel, Social Worker; and Nathan Lapin, Special Education Teacher, are moving on from Little Run to other endeavors. We wish them the best in all that lies ahead. They will be missed.
Celebrating Our 6th Graders
Summer is quickly approaching, and while we are apart during this time of distance learning, we believe it is important to celebrate our 6th graders and honor all they have accomplished during their time in elementary school.
This week, your child will receive, in the mail, an envelope from Little Run. Please remind them NOT to open it until our ceremony on June 12th!
Specialists Celebration 6th Grade
Specialists will recognize and celebrate 6th grade students during a live, virtual session on Thursday, June 11th, from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm. This session will be hosted on the live specials link, and will replace Sra. Bove’s FLES Specials time with grades 3 through 6.
6th Grade Virtual Promotion Ceremony
We know that our Promotion Ceremony and 6th grade Send Off are two events that the students and families look forward in June of each year. We plan to hold our 6th grade Send Off when we are able to be together again, however, we will have a virtual promotion ceremony this year on Friday, June 12th, from 10:30-11:30 am. Students should use the BBCU link they use each day for their live lessons.
We hope you can join us and sit beside your child as we celebrate the 6th grade class of 2020!

School Counselors Available
We realize the impact on our social-emotional wellness during this time. Any FCPS parent may schedule a 30-minute phone consultation with a school psychologist or school social worker, for either themselves or their children.
Consultations provide an opportunity for parents to receive guidance on how to support their children during their time away from school.
Note: Parent consultations are available for all grade levels. Student consultations are only available for middle and high school students. Schedule a phone consultation online.
