Virtual Graduation Ceremony

Congratulations for being a member of the Annandale High School graduating class of 2020. Through all challenges that have been presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, you have persevered and arrived at an important milestone. Fairfax County Public Schools and Annandale High School will be honoring and celebrating your achievement in a Virtual Graduation Celebration Video, which will live-stream on July 3 at 11:00am on YouTube and Channels 99 and 11.

To be featured in the Virtual Graduation ceremony, you must indicate your wishes to participate by filling out this form from your FCPS account

Soon, you will receive an email from Marching Order, our Virtual Graduation production company. This email will provide instructions on submitting images and information that will be a part of the virtual graduation ceremony.

To be included in the Virtual Graduation, please submit the following items by June 14, 2020 in order to be featured in the Virtual Graduation:

Personal Slide Photo: This photo will be displayed in the video at the time your name is read during the presentation of diplomas. A Cap and Gown photo is preferred. Your photo should be a portrait style image of your face, head and shoulders with a solid background and must be compatible with the K-12 educational environment and with good citizenship. If you would like to use your yearbook photo, please indicate that here.

Text to Accompany Your Photo: You can include up to 150 characters to accompany your photo. Some options for your text might include a thank you message to family and/or school staff, school-sponsored activities/awards/achievements, or your future plans.

Audio Submission of Your Name: This will allow the announcer to pronounce your name as you would like to have it pronounced.

Optional - Personalized Video Clip with recorded message: This 10-15 second clip of you in your cap and gown or other appropriate graduation attire. Some suggestions include: a fond reflection of your time at AHS, congratulatory message to your classmates, thank you to family and/or teachers. This clip is optional and will not be included in the Virtual Graduation Celebration Video but will be available to you through a unique URL, which will be emailed to you.

All student submissions must be consistent with the K-12 educational environment and good citizenship and will be subject to review by school officials.

Please check your fcpsschools.net email regularly. You will receive communication from Herff Jones, Marching Order, and Stage Clips with specific details concerning your submissions and the timeline for submitting the required items. If you have any questions Cindy Hook can be reached via email at CRHook@fcps.edu

We want to ensure that every graduating ATOM is represented. We look forward to celebrating you and your achievements as a school community, and we are excited about having you participate in this celebration!
