Principal Message June 4, 2020

Dear Sleepy Hollow Families,

I hope you are enjoying the beautiful sunshine this week. The staff has come to the school to pack their classrooms and prepare the end of year documents. On June 11th at 6:00 PM we will be celebrating our 5th graders. The link for the virtual celebration will be sent to 5th grade families next week.

Thank you and a round of applause to our 2019-2020 PTA Board: Dr. Barbara Jauregui Wurst, Monique Ramgoolie, Kim Bailey, Cindy Heilman and Greg Diephouse. We appreciate all your hard work and dedication to Sleepy Hollow.

Congratulations to our 2020-2021 PTA Board: Greg Diephouse, Kim Bailey, Bart Stewart, Sarah Rupert, and Caitlin Clarke.

During the summer we will be providing an opportunity for Continuity of Learning (COL), between June 29-July 31.  All students have access to this support, which includes centrally created resources and school-based virtual office hours. There will be one teacher per grade level, an ESOL and SPED teacher. We will inform you of more details as I receive them in the next week.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Thank you for your continued support, stay safe and healthy!

Online book fair was amazing!

Thank you to the whole Sleepy Hollow community (and beyond!) for your amazing support of our first online book fair! Your generosity has stocked the home libraries of our students and helped the school library get additional books for all to enjoy! We are so grateful for the support of our amazing families and staff!

School Supplies

The PTA is selling back-to-school supplies, backpacks, and lunch boxes online at https://www.shopttkits.com now through June 21.  Simply enter our Account # 40217 to access the sale.

This service provides an easy and safe way to purchase school supplies for next year!  Each kit is tailored to your child’s grade and is exactly what your teacher requested.

The kits will be delivered to SHES in August and will be in your child’s classroom by the first day of school or available for distance pick-up, depending on the future situation.

Please contact April Morgan at padmorgan@gmail.com with any questions
