Herndon ES Bee Hive, May 22, 2020

art gallery

On Wednesday, May 20, 2020, Herndon ES celebrated "It's Art Day"!  Art teachers, Ms. McDonald and Mr. Henry, have over hundreds of students in their Google Classroom!  In keeping with this week's Positivity lessons, goal-directed and resilience, Ms. McDonald created this gallery to virtually honor the art work that students are making at home.  It is not easy to stay motivated and it can be challenging with limited supplies. When they see the work of their friends, students are encouraged to keep creating and showing up to class.  This is something they can share with family and friends around the globe.

Visit the “ It’s Art Day” Gallery to see what students have been creating at home.

Schedule to Pick Up Student's Belongings

Students in Grades Pre K-5 will be able to pick up their belongings and medication next week.  We organized it by grade level to maintain social distancing and to comply with health department guidelines.  We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you!

The good news is that you won’t have to leave your car – we’re providing curbside service!  As you enter the bus loop, you will be directed to the appropriate class tent.  A staff member will locate your child’s belongings and hand them to you!  It would be helpful to have your child’s name displayed on the dashboard of your car so we can keep things moving!  Thank you!!

* If you have library books or instruments to return, you can drop them off here!

** Ms. Schwoyer and Ms. Adams will need FCPS strings and band instruments returned from all 6th graders and those who are in 4th and 5th grade who will NOT be returning to HES.  Please make sure their name is on the case.

***If you have medications that need to be picked up, there will be a separate area in the drive-through.
