Langston Hughes parents and students,
Congratulations to our students who made the 3rd quarter Honor Roll! We are especially proud of our students who achieved academic excellence during this unprecedented time. We had 210 students on the All A Honor Roll and 319 students on the A/B Honor Roll. This has been a time of perseverance. We celebrate our students who have shown academic determination and we celebrate our teachers and parents or guardians who have supported students in this incredible achievement.

ACT (Acknowledge, Care, and Tell an Adult)
In our virtual PE classes, our clinical support team presented a short lesson to remind our students about how to recognize signs of depression and how to get help. Students were educated about the signs and symptoms of depression and what to do if they have concerns about themselves or a peer – acknowledge the feelings, show that they care and are concerned, and tell a trusted adult as soon as possible. Join the FCPS MS After-School @ Home Google Classroom!
FCPS Virtual After-School Activities for Middle Schoolers
FCPS Middle School After-School has put together a number of virtual after-school activities to engage middle school students in the arts, music, STEM, physical fitness, cooking, games, puzzles, literature, and more – things students can do at home.
FCPS students can access these virtual after-school activities by joining the "FCPS MS After-School @ Home" Google Classroom. The classroom code is: MRIBNEG.
Once your student has joined the classroom, there are a variety of activities (topics) they can choose from in the "Classwork" tab. We hope your students enjoy this site, and that it helps them actively pursue their interests during this time of social distancing. If you or your student have ideas for other activities, please email your After-School Program Specialist or use the "FCPS MS @ Home Interest Form" located on the classroom home page.
