2020-2021 Class Placement Input

Planning is beginning for the 2020-2021 school year! To assist in this process, we would like to give you the opportunity to provide some information about your child.

Your child’s current teachers (upcoming teachers for rising Kindergartners) work as a grade level team in collaboration with specialists to prepare class assignments for the next school year.  They will review this form and consider the information relevant to the class assignment.  Fairview's staff is remarkable!  Please do not request a specific teacher.

Please complete the form and submit by Wednesday, May 13!
Submit one form per student attending Fairview Elementary.

Dealing with the uncertainty that comes with COVID-19 is difficult for many students. Completing an activity like this Circle of Control activity can help reduce anxiety about things children can’t control by encouraging them to focus on what they can control.

Digital Citizenship Reminders

As we enter a distance learning environment, it becomes more important than ever to apply practices of good digital citizenship. Students have been learning digital citizenship at Fairview all year, but reminders are always helpful. We strongly encourage adults to actively monitor students' use of technology to help maintain a safe and productive digital community.
Resources to families can be found on the FCPS Digital Citizenship webpage.
