As a way to cross reference our records in multiple ways, please complete this form identifying each LCES laptop and charger that you have at home.

The PTA plans on maintaining the LCES tradition of creating special posters and a slideshow for our 6th grade students.
To make this special for our kids, we need your help submitting pictures for each poster before May 10th.
Select FIVE (5) digital pictures of your child and post them online.
- These pictures can be any pictures you like, showing your child throughout the years.
- Please upload your pictures using the following online form.https://forms.gle/QJJv6anUXvjXdijm8
IF your child did not attend Lees Corner for the beginning of kindergarten, email a kindergarten photo to our committee ASAP!
- Please include your child’s first and last name in the subject line of the email. The Kindergarten Photos should be emailed to: LCES.2020.photos@gmail.com
- No action is required if your child has attended Lees Corner since the beginning of kindergarten. The school already has these photos, and the photos will be used for the posters and the slideshow.
- Part of the 6th grade celebration will be a slide show of all 6th graders. The slide show will include the official “school photos” from kindergarten and 6th grade.
All responses are due by May 10, 2020.
Your responsiveness to send in the pictures is much appreciated to help make this event a fun and very special memory for our 6th grade class!
We are working with the school and the 6th grade teachers on a plan for some sort of celebration. Stay tuned for more information.

You can still call the school at 703-227-3500 and someone will either answer the phone or you can leave a message and someone will get back to you! School is closed and so is the office, but staff are working remotely. Phone calls are forwarded to an office staff member during regular office hours of 8 AM to 4:30 PM.
You can also email your child's teacher or another staff member. See the list of helpful contacts by scrolling to the bottom of today's message.
This year Lees Corner is going to celebrate our annual College Day virtually! On Thursday, May 14th, staff members will wear clothing from their alma mater. Your child is invited to wear clothing from a college of his or her choice or their Lees Corner spirit wear. The earlier a child knows and believes they can go to college, the more likely they will be to attend. We look forward to continuing the college conversation with our students and families! Thank you for your support!
We need your help in projecting our total enrollment for next school year. For families NOT returning to Lees Corner ES in the fall of 2020-21, please complete and return the “Student’s Intention for the Next School Year” form by Friday, May 22nd.
A typed parent/guardian name on the Parent Signature line is acceptable. Student ID Number may be left blank. Save the completed form, attach it to an email and send to blnolan@fcps.edu.

Grades will be available in ParentVUE/StudentVUE on Saturday, May 9, 2020.
We anticipate the printed report cards will be provided to the postal service by May 23. Actual delivery to homes will vary. School addresses will be used as the return address on the report cards.
No fourth quarter grades will be assigned to elementary students due to equity issues of access to technology and limited student ability to submit work during distance learning.

Login procedure allows students to log on directly to Blackboard Collaborate Ultra (BbCU) without needing to go through Blackboard Learn (24-7). Below is the information that you need for live instruction.
- Your child will receive one or more emails with personalized BbCU links based on the number of sessions to which they are invited.
- Email(s) will be found in their fcpsschools.net Gmail account and will come from Blackboard Collaborate Support.
- DO NOT DELETE THESE EMAILS FROM BLACKBOARD COLLABORATE SUPPORT! You may need to refer to them later if there is a problem.
- Directions to access these BbCU links in your child’s email can be seen in THIS VIDEO.
- Remember that you should NEVER share these personalized links with anyone. Personalized links show students’ first and last names. They become part of your child’s digital footprint.
- To help keep track of the different invitation links you can:
- bookmark the links using Steps 6-11 of the attached document. Be sure to save the emails from BbCU Support.
- create a desktop shortcut for each session to which they are invited. After opening the invitation email:

Right Click on the invitation link.
- Select “Copy Link Address”.
- Place your arrow on your Desktop.

Right Click.
- Select “New”.
- Select “Shortcut”.
- Select “Paste”.
- Then rename the link to match the session title seen the invitation email.
