Happy Teacher Appreciation Week to an amazing group of educators! Your dedication to our children, their parents and your colleagues is outstanding! We cannot thank you enough for the time and energy you put in to developing relationships with students and designing lessons to meet their individual needs. Even during this unprecedented time, each of you continues to go above and beyond. The emails, cards, phone calls, donations as well as packages sent or personally delivered were done for the children and not for personal recognition. Your continued dedication to the well-being of our students has not gone unnoticed. Sometimes the simplest of words can hold so much meaning. So, to each of you --THANK YOU!!

Did you know that Fairfax County Public Library has thousands of eBooks that all WHES students can access for free? You’ll need a library card to read ebooks but don’t worry you can easily get one online with no paperwork necessary. Check out https://research.fairfaxcounty.gov/c.php?g=726085&p=5331335 to sign up for a library card right from your home. You can access the ebooks and other library services for 180 days before you have to visit a branch and complete the application. Mrs. Connors can help anyone that might need it during her office hours Monday-Thursday from 11:00-12:00. Just go to the WHES Distance Learning course on Blackboard 24/7 learning. Click on the blue tab labeled BBCU rooms. Find the Library office hours and click on the three dots and join session.
Even though the Woodley Hills main office is closed, kindergarten registration continues. A preregistration process can be completed by e-mail or phone. If you have a rising kindergarten child or you know of one in your neighborhood, please contact Maria Clark at 703-799-2001 or email MCClark@fcps.edu for additional details.
