Despite being out of school, our students are still finding ways to be creative and keep in touch. This student drew a hopeful sunflower and shared it with us from her home.
Keep in Touch
During distance learning, our teachers and staff may reach out to our families in a number of ways. This may include email to parents/families, email to student gmail addresses, the News You Choose, eNotify emails or text messages, Blackboard (FCPS 24-7) and telephone calls. Please make sure all of your information is up to date in the school's computer. If you need to update anything, contact your child's teacher with the new information, and they will pass it along to our registrar.
Please note that telephone calls from school will show up on your phone as a private call or restricted number for teacher privacy reasons. We appreciate your responding to these communications.
Please click to watch the video lesson on how to login to a student email account.

 School Staff Appreciation Week
Did you know next week is School Staff Appreciation week? Although we can’t come together, we want to show our appreciation for all of the things our Weyanoke community does to support students. Join us in celebrating each day!
-
Monday May 4: Start the week off by sending your teacher a video of your child telling a funny joke.
-
Tuesday May 5: Draw or take a picture of some beautiful flowers, maybe ones you see on a walk, and email them to your teacher or favorite staff member.
-
Wednesday May 6: Take a picture of your child holding a sign with a positive word that reminds them of their teacher.
-
Thursday May 7: Wear your Woodchuck tshirt or school colors of blue and yellow for your class sessions.
-
Friday May 8: Write your favorite/memory/thing about your teacher, take a picture, and share with your teacher.

Attendance
Student attendance will be taken daily (Monday-Thursday) by classroom teachers during the “Virtual Teacher-Directed” instructional hour when synchronous instruction is provided. This is done to monitor participation across the division and to help teachers identify students they will need to check in with to provide additional support. This data will be entered in the Student Information System (SIS), but will not be included in the student attendance history needed for state reporting.
