Update to Distance Learning Schedule
On this journey, we are providing different ways for our learners to engage in a variety of experiences led by the Fairview Staff. Beginning this week, our Specialists will be offering LIVE instruction during their office hours. We welcome students to participate as they are available. The instruction will be recorded and posted in Blackboard (FCPS 24/7).
Families continue to be encouraged to develop a balanced routine and learning schedule that meets their families' needs.

Fairview Says Thank You!
There is a movement in our community to recognize the work of our community helpers during this time. We invite you to be a part of saying thank you!
How can you show your appreciation?
One idea is to create a sign for display at your home. It could be a painted bed sheet, a decorated piece of paper, a sidewalk chalk message, or art on your car window. There are many possibilities, and we encourage you to be creative.
Send a photo of your "thank you" to smvanaalst@fcps.edu or tweet us @fairviewesfcps!

Student Roles & Responsibilities
Establish daily routines for learning. Identify a space in home where you can learn and study comfortably. Regularly check FCPS 24-7 Learning (Blackboard) for announcements and feedback from your teachers. Complete assignments with integrity and academic honesty. Do your best to meet due dates. Communicate with your teacher if you need help. Be a good digital citizen.

Digital Citizenship Reminders
As we enter a distance learning environment, it becomes more important than ever to apply practices of good digital citizenship. Students have been learning digital citizenship at Fairview all year, but reminders are always helpful. We strongly encourage adults to actively monitor students' use of technology to help maintain a safe and productive digital community. Resources to families can be found on the FCPS Digital Citizenship webpage.
