Good evening, Fort Belvoir Upper families,
We are looking forward to jumping back into learning tomorrow! As a reminder, directions for the new FCPS 24-7 login procedure, including a “how to” video, are embedded in this message below. We are looking forward to resuming our regular schedules! If, for some reason, FCPS 24-7 is not working as it should tomorrow morning, our teachers will push forward with everything available to them, including the learning packets; teacher assignments posted for the week through Google Classroom, email and FCPS 24-7; as well as activities on Channel 21 and FCPS online (see link in message below). However, our fingers are crossed that the updates and patches to the FCPS 24-7 Blackboard system will allow our live instruction and office hours to also occur as planned.

Blackboard Log-In Directions
1. Students will log on to FCPS 24-7 Blackboard using their school credentials.
2. Within the “Courses” tab at the top, select your student’s grade level distance learning site.
3. Within the grade level site, choose the “Blackboard Collaborate” link on the left menu bar.
4. Find the desired teacher’s name, and current date. Select their session. This will take you into the live teacher’s class. The most current sessions will be listed at the top and are bolded. Future sessions will be grayed out and are unable to be clicked.
5. Select “Join Session” to be added to the class. You will not need to type your name as you are already logged in to FCPS 24-7.
6. Everything else about the live sessions remains the same. The only thing that has changed is how to log on.

FCPS Distance Learning YouTube Channel
The language arts and mathematics instructional videos that are being aired on Apple 21 are now available on demand on the FCPS Distance Learning YouTube Channel found here. Teachers and parents now have access to playlists which support distance learning, the instructional packet sent home, and classroom teacher instruction. The site will be updated regularly as videos are developed and finalized.
Blackboard 24/7 App
Blackboard 24/7 has a free app that is available to families. Those using a phone or a tablet can use it to access students classwork and virtual classrooms. Here is the link to download the app on iOS devices.
