Accessing BBCU: The New Way

Dear Cunningham Park Families,

As you know, FCPS has been working with Blackboard to enhance security for students using Blackboard Connect Ultra (BBCU).  The change to increase security is actually quite simple, students just need to log into their Blackboard accounts first.  To ensure everyone knows how to find their virtual classes when we start up again on Monday, check out this video, created by our School-Based Technology Specialist, Dr. Mina.

Blackboard will be spotty tomorrow, as the company will be working on technical maintenance.  You are welcome to practice today or over the weekend to be sure you are ready for Monday morning.

We invite ALL STUDENTS to a virtual School-Wide Morning Meeting to re-kick off School 2.0 Monday at 8:30am.  This week, we had 270 logins for our Morning Meetings, let's see if we can have even more on Monday!

In the meantime, be sure to follow Cunningham Park on Twitter and Facebook for real-time updates.

We can hardly wait to see you again!

Sincerely,

Katie Le, Principal and Jon Kemmerer, Assistant Principal

Enter Our School-Wide Poetry Slam!

It's National Poetry Month and today is our Poetry Spirit Day! So, let's slam some poetry on FlipGrid! We'll keep the grid open for the rest of the month of April and then share the results with the school!

To share your performance go to flipgrid, and log in with your fcpsschools google log in. You can record your performance right on FlipGrid. You might want to rehearse a few times first, but if you don't like your video, you can delete it and get a re-do. You can perform a poem YOU wrote or a poem by your favorite author.

Remember our Cardinal expectations when performing! Watch my video on flip grid for an example.

Some videos may be chosen to show at Monday's School-Wide Morning Meeting!

Have fun and show your flare for poetry performance!

Sincerely,

Meg Brinkhuis, Librarian
