Good morning,
Thank you for your enthusiasm and patience as FCPS adjusts to distance learning. As parents heard from FCPS last night, a 2-hour delay was scheduled today so schools could put additional security measures in place for our synchronous teaching sessions.
At this time, FCPS 24-7 Blackboard is experiencing system-wide issues. This is preventing most staff and families from accessing any of the instructional resources. We are aware of the issues and problem solving. To give us time to address the challenges, I am cancelling morning live instruction for today. I encourage your children to read, spend time on their learning packets, watch the lessons on Channel 21, participate in some of the virtual activities posted on the Lemon Road website student links page, and do something active to stay healthy.
Parents can expect a follow up message from me, your child's teacher, or FCPS at or by noon today with guidance regarding the schedule for this afternoon's lessons.
