From The Principal; Jenni Coakley

Dear Cub Run Families:

Thank you for your continued support and patience as we move forward with our Distance Learning Plan. We could not do this without your support and now more than ever, the home-school connection is vital. Please know we miss our students. Teachers get into this business to work with children and we know that interacting virtually is not the same as face to face. This is a tough time for all of us, teachers as well as students, yet if we come together as a Cub Run family, we will get through it. #togetherwecan

Fondly,

Jenni Coakley, Principal

How Parents Can Help During Distance Learning

As we embark on distance learning, we recognize it can present challenges for families and students. While our number one goal is continue with instruction, we recognize the challenges and obstacles our students and families may in face in the upcoming weeks . Here are a few tips to help students find success in this new environment:

1. Be patient as we all adjust to a new way of doing things

2. Continue to maintain family norms and be supportive

3. Know that you are doing the best you can

4. Celebrate your accomplishments and progress

Attendance During Distance Learning

Student attendance and participation are essential to learning and it will continue to be important for us to monitor and understand student’s attendance during distance learning. Teachers will keep track of students who do not attend the synchronous instruction. Our attendance data will serve as one of the data points for us to determine students who need additional instructional support during and after distance learning. Parents will be able to see this information in SIS ParentVUE.
