Student Advisory Council Convention to Elect the Student Representative to the School Board
The Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council (SAC) will hold its annual convention to elect the student representative to the School Board for 2020-2021 on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at Marshall High School.
To prepare for the SAC convention to elect the Student Representative to the School Board, administrators are asked to register convention delegates from your school by listing their names on this form and returning it to Pam Gordon at PEGordon@fcps.edu. Completed forms are due no later than Wednesday, April 1, 2020.
Participants should arrive at the convention on April 22, 2020 at 8:00 a.m. Lunch will be provided, and the convention will conclude by 2:00 p.m. Up to four 2019-2020 SAC delegates from each high school will be voting delegates at the convention.

Regional Science Fair Winners
The 65th annual Fairfax County Regional Science and Engineering Fair showcased over 400 high school science projects via recorded videos. Over 600 students presented their research projects in a wide variety of science and engineering fields. Projects were judged by over 150 professionals and 40 professional organizations and businesses. The Grand Prize and 1st place winners are eligible to compete in the Virginia State Science and Engineering Fair to be held virtually in April.
1st place : Youngjae Kim Project title: The Effects of Hill-Climbing Algorithms on Hyperparameter Value Search in Image Classifying Machine-Learning Algorithms
2nd place: Eleanor David Project title: The Physics of Stringed Instruments
3rd place: Aymen Omara, The-Vinh Tran-Luu Project title: The Effect of an Edible Algae Type on the Amount of Oxygen Produced During a Photosynthetic Reaction in Two Hours
Honorable Mention: Ryan Chou Project Title: Brilliant Brainless Blobs: Physarum polycephalum's Ability to Locate and Eliminate Inactive Portions of its Cytoplasm, and its Potential in Network Optimization and Development
