Distance Learning is Scheduled to Begin on Tuesday, April 14
Dear HES Families,
Now that the governor has ordered all Virginia schools to remain closed through the end of the academic year, FCPS, with the support of our School Board, is planning to begin distance instruction and learning with our students on April 14.
One of your best resources is going to be the FCPS website at www.fcps.edu . There you can see the alerts that are in effect, access the most updated information, read Messages from Superintendent Scott Brabrand, COVID-19, and so much more. The FCPS website is a one stop shop!
Also, please make sure that we have your most up-to-date email on file. This is how FCPS, the school, and the teachers will be corresponding with you. Practice checking your email on a daily basis to develop a habit in this new way of life.
Did you know that there is a Language translation button at the top, left hand corner of all FCPS websites? Also, Herndon ES Bee Hives are on the website under Announcements and have a link on Herndon_ES twitter. Just click on the button, choose your language, and it will show everything tranlsated!
