Writers make books about true stories (personal narratives) from their lives.
- Think of a person, place, or object that is important to you. List the true stories with that person, place, or object.
- Write that story across pages by telling each part bit-by-bit.
- Write the story so your readers can picture it. Include dialogue (what people said). Include actions (what people did). Include thinking or feeling.

When we are all home it is easy to turn on the TV or give your child a device but we want to make sure we don’t over-do screen time. Click here for some recommendations from the American Academy of Pediatrics. Limit screen use to 1-2 hours per day. Designate media-free times. Have ongoing communication about online citizenship and safety.
