School Planning Day - Monday, March 16
No School for Students
Dear Kings Park / Kings Glen Families,
As many of you are aware, circumstances regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) continue to evolve, and we want to reassure families that Kings Park and Kings Glen will continue to follow the guidelines and recommendations from the Fairfax County Health Department and the CDC. We have directed staff to find time to allow students to wash their hands throughout the day, and our custodial staff has been cleaning and disinfecting surfaces daily.
To provide families with timely updates and resources, FCPS has created a coronavirus webpage at the following link: https://www.fcps.edu/news/coronavirus-update. We encourage families to explore the webpage that contains fact sheets, videos, and how to talk to your child about COVID-19. If you have questions about the illness or symptoms, or how to prevent respiratory infections, we encourage you to talk with a Communicable Disease Nurse at the Fairfax County Health Department during business hours. As you may already know, Monday, March 16 will now be designated a student holiday. All FCPS schools will be CLOSED for students on that day. This student holiday will provide an opportunity for our staff to prepare for the possibility of distance learning in the event of a school(s) closure. This day will be used as a staff training day. SACC will be open.
