Below is some pertinent information specific to our school, including updates on events, meals and access for middle school students.
We hope you take the next couple of weeks to stay healthy and safe. As a Lake Braddock and FCPS family, we will remain strong and continue to support each other.
Information for ALL
CANCELED: SAT for Saturday, March 14 The SAT is canceled for all FCPS sites on Saturday, March 14th. All students registered to take the SAT will receive a notification from the College Board, informing them that the test is cancelled, and their costs for the exam will be refunded. Due to the high volume of closures, communication from the College Board regarding this cancellation will be delayed.
CANCELED: ACT for Saturday, April 4 The ACT scheduled for any FCPS location on Saturday, April 4 will also be cancelled. Any student who was registered to test will receive information direction from ACT. Due to the high volume of closures, communication from ACT regarding this cancellation will likely be delayed.
Emergency Grab and Go Lunches Fairfax County Public Schools will be providing emergency grab and go lunches at no cost for students at five sites today and Monday, March 16, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m..
School-age students are welcome to come to any of the five sites to pick up a lunch during that time period.
Grab and go lunches will be served at the following sites today at 11:30 a.m.:

Hutchison Elementary School, 13209 Parcher Avenue, Herndon
Hybla Valley Elementary School, 3415 Lockheed Boulevard, Alexandria
London Towne Elementary School, 6100 Stone Road, Centreville
Burke Center, 9645 Burke Lake Road, Burke

FCPS Cable Channels
FCPS cable channels with learning activities are now available. New instructional videos are currently being developed and recorded and will be added to the programming shortly. Channel 21 includes elementary school programming, Channel 25 includes middle school programming, and Channel 99 includes high school programming.

Senior Class: 100-Day Meeting Recap For those Senior Class families who were unable to attend the 100-Day Meeting held this week, the following is a recap of the information presented at the meeting:

Senior Fees Senior fees can be paid with cash or check (made payable to Lake Braddock Secondary School) in Subschool 3 (B115), or with a debit/credit card at www.MySchoolBucks.com. After May 8, 2019, senior fees cannot be paid with a check. Cash and MySchoolBucks payments will still be available. The fee schedule is:

- May 1-June 1: $90.00

College Partnership is accepting applications now through March 18 The goals of College Partnership are to increase the academic achievement of underachieving students and to increase the number of students, particularly first generation and minority students, who enroll and succeed in college. The CPP creates opportunities for students to successfully navigate the home, school, and college continuum.
Members attend monthly meetings and Lake Braddock and have access to a robust county program which includes parent support and college visits.
