CAMELOT FIT CLUB RETURNS THIS SPRING: Camelot Fit Club is a training program to gets kids in 3rd-6th grade excited about physical activity by introducing them to basic running, strength training, and stretching. Students will have opportunities to practice building up their stamina through a variety of activities from relay races to interval training. Students will train for the Jaguar 5K (a 1-mile event is also available) on Saturday, April 25th. Participation in the Jaguar 5K is not required to join Fit Club, but we would love to have Camelot represented on race day! More information about the 5K will be sent home in Thursday folders.
We will meet on Mondays AFTER school (4:00 – 5:00pm) and Fridays BEFORE school (7:45 – 8:45am) starting March 16 through April 27. Practices will be held on the field behind the playground or in the gym during inclement weather. Participants may sign up for Monday afternoons, Friday mornings, or both. Registration materials can be found in your student’s Thursday folder TODAY.
Volunteers are needed to help run Fit Club. Get fit yourself and enjoy helping students get excited about physical activity!

Volunteer Spotlight: The PTA would like to give a giant shout out to Laura Allen for all of her hard work over the past month to support Acceptance Month at Camelot. Laura has volunteered countless hours to our Acceptance Team programs over many years. We are so thankful for her contribution to our school community and helping to build the culture of acceptance at Camelot. This year her dedication was highlighted by the amazing “Walk in my Shoes” event on February 21st, which was covered by our local Channel 7 News. We are so proud of Laura, our entire Acceptance Team, all of the volunteers that helped make this happen, and our school!
