The WEYANOKE FUN RUN is so close! This is our major fundraiser of the year, and our goal is to raise $5,000 for a learning outdoor space.

Here’s how you can help:

  • Register your student on FUNRUN.COM (code 859-896)
  • Create a Student Star Video by uploading your student’s picture and sharing it on Facebook, through email, or text for a fun, easy way to ask for a pledge from friends, family, or even local businesses!
  • Come cheer on your student at the WEYANOE FUN RUN this FRIDAY, MARCH 6. Every student is invited to run!

Not only are we raising funds for WEYANOKE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, our students are also learning how to live with character through Booster’s new character theme: MindSpark Wild West—a time-traveling Western-S.T.E.A.M. adventure! Check out all of this year’s character videos on FUNRUN.COM.

Thank you for your generosity and for supporting our school!

School Health Services Survey

The Fairfax County Health Department (FCHD) employs school health aides and public health nurses who provide school health services to the students in Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS). To determine the quality of these services, a survey has been developed by the FCHD to be shared with all parents or guardians and school staff members who interact with the school health rooms. This may include principals, school counselors, and main office staff members. The survey has been approved for distribution by the FCPS’ Internal Survey Advisory Committee.

Electronic versions of the survey forms may be accessed at:

School Health Services Survey – Parents 2020: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/K9VWCJ6 approval # 20217

School Health Services Survey-Parents 2020 (Spanish): https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/K7KGXTS

The survey will take less than five minutes to complete and will provide the FCHD with valuable information.  Your participation in this important endeavor is appreciated.

Census 2020: Are you ready to be counted?

April l , 2020 is Census Dayl

The U.S. Constitution requires that each decade we take a count - or a census - of America's population. The goal is to count everyone once, only once, and in the right place.

Every household will receive an invitation to the 2020 Census before April 1st. You can respond online, by phone or by email.

Completing your census will directly benefit you! The Census numbers determine how tax funds are distributed to Virginia and Fairfax County to better serve you, your family and your neighborhood on a host of issues including:

Education Healthcare Housing Infrastructure Roads

Census data determines how many delegates Virginia can send to Congress to advocate for our community.

Responses to the census are 100% confidential. Your personal information will not be shared with immigration or law enforcement agencies. The information is only used to count the number of people living here regardless of immigration status.

IN FAIRFAX COUNTY EVERYONE COUNTS!
