A Special Announcement
After 31 years in FCPS, Principal Mary Miller has decided to retire. After ten years at Brookfield, her last day will be July 1, 2020. Fairfax County Public Schools will start the search for a new principal in April. Our Region Superintendent, Ms. Rebecca Baenig, will reach out to parents about this process. She will share more about the process and how families can have a voice.

Field Day
Field Day is going to be fun! Students should dress in comfortable clothes and bring a water bottle on Field Day.
- 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. = Grades 3,4,5, and 6
- 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. = Grades 1 and 2
- 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. = Kindergarten

Congratulations Ms. Akhtar
Congratulations to Safiya Akhtar! She has been named the 2019-2020 Chantilly Pyramid Outstanding New Elementary Teacher. We are all so proud of her. Everyone at Brookfield is thankful to have Ms. Akhtar as a part of our staff!
Custodian Appreciation Week
Last week was Custodian Appreciation Week. Their hard work keeps our school safe and clean. We are very thankful for everything they do!
