Dear Fox Mill Families and Friends,
With a blink of an eye, February is over! The saying goes "March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb", here's hoping our "lion-like" weather isn't too cold and blustery. Either way, our building has hot and cold flashes, so please dress your child in layers so they can remain comfortable during the school day.
In these modern times, even elementary students are accessing apps like tik tok, snap chat, Instagram, and so on. As we wrap up February, the month of love and kindness, this is a great time to review the THINK acronym with your child(ren). Before you speak or post THINK; T=is it true, H= is it helpful, I= is it inspiring, N= is it necessary, and K= is it kind.
Tuesday, March 3, 2020 is a student holiday. Teachers are participating in staff development. Enjoy the extra day with family and friends.
Have a wonderful weekend.
All the best,
Mr. Moose Ms. Greene

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!
Please help us celebrate Read Across America Day and Dr. Seuss’ birthday by wearing red, white and black on Monday, March 2nd. We will also celebrate reading with a school-wide read aloud from 9:00- 9:15am Monday morning. Teachers will be switching classrooms to surprise students with their favorite picture book! Be on the look out for classroom events throughout the week like guest reading opportunities, a read-in, or a Dr. Seuss craft!
Thank you for supporting this fun literacy event.
The Fairfax County Health Department (FCHD) employs school health aides and public health nurses who provide school health services to the students in Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS). To determine the quality of these services, a survey has been developed by the FCHD to be shared with all parents or guardians and school staff members who interact with the school health rooms. This may include principals, school counselors, and main office staff members. The survey has been approved for distribution by the FCPS’ Internal Survey Advisory Committee.
Electronic versions of the survey forms may be accessed at:
School Health Services Survey – Parents 2020: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/K9VWCJ6 approval # 20217
School Health Services Survey-Parents 2020 (Spanish): https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/K7KGXTS approval #20217
School Health Services Survey – STAFF 2020: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/KDDYRW3 approval # 20216
The survey will take less than five minutes to complete and will provide the FCHD with valuable information. Your participation in this important endeavor is appreciated.
