Franklin Weekly Update - February 21

1

Dear Franklin Families,

Our school recognized Custodian Appreciation Week to celebrate the hard work, dedication, and commitment of our amazing custodial team.  We are very fortunate to have a great team at Franklin that is dedicated to supporting our school, our families, our staff, and most importantly, our students.

We were also excited to host a performance by the Army Voices ensemble from Fort Meyer. They performed and worked with the students in our choral program. The opportunity to interact and learn from the members of this ensemble was an experience that will leave a lasting impression on our students and staff.

Have a wonderful weekend. Thank you for all that you do to support the students at Franklin MS.

Sincerely,

Dustin Wright

Principal

The last meeting of the Parent Teen Book Club will take place on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 @ 7 p.m. @ Franklin Middle School.  We will be welcoming author Ben Mikaelsen and each of the titles offered will be one of his books.

Registration opens on February 27, 2020 at 8:00 a.m.  Groups will fill up fast so be ready to sign up on Thursday to be a part of this amazing experience!  Use this link or QR code (above) to sign up.  Feel free to contact Mrs. Radcliffe keradcliffe@fcps.edu) with any questions.

If you are unfamiliar with the Parent Teen Book Club, this is an exciting event for parents and students to read together and to discuss books.  Through this experience, parents, and students can learn from each other’s perspectives and begin to understand and appreciate the similarities and differences among themselves.  This is a great opportunity to communicate with your teenager as he/she moves forward in shaping an identity and in making good choices for the future.
