Parents and Guardians with children receiving special education support are invited to attend Coffee & Conversations on Friday, February 21st. This session will provide information regarding home/school relationships, behavior expectations, and ways we can work together to help your child be successful at school.

SOL Pass provides an opportunity for students to practice for the SOL science, social studies, and reading tests. All Annandale Terrace students have access to the site. You may access the site through www.solpass.org/login or by going to Student Resources from our school website.
When on the login page for SOL Pass, enter our school name (Annandale Terrace ES (Fairfax) and password (annandale). Click Login.
 Once you have logged into SOL Pass, click on Elementary School and select the subject that you would like to practice.

In order to qualify for Summer RecPac and Extracurricular Classes scholarships provided by the Park Authority, an approval letter from FCPS Food Services for free and reduced meals application needs to be submitted along with the scholarship request form.
The registration for Parktakes Extracurricular Classes and Camp Registration begins on February 4!

Library staff has sent overdue book notices in the Wednesday folders. Please help your children find and return any books that are on that list, and any others that have a “Fairfax County Public Schools” barcode on the back (as shown here.)
During regular library visits each week, students are also given a list of overdue books to take home. Please help them find and return the books. We would greatly appreciate it!

Please come and have lunch with your child any day of the week! Lunches for adults are available for $4.50 and breakfasts are available for $2.20. Since our focus is on wellness and reinforcing healthy eating habits, we do ask that you do not bring food from fast-food restaurants (e.g., French fries, soda) for yourself or your child to share during lunch in the school cafeteria.
It is that time of year again. If you have a child who will be 5 years old by September 30, 2020 please call the school at 703-658-5600 to set up an appointment to register your child for the 2020-2021 school year.
If you know anyone who has a child who will be 5 by September 30th, please pass this information along to them.

FOOD for OTHERS in ANNANDALE!! A pilot project for Annandale families!
Beginning March 3 through June 30, 2020, the Heritage Campus of the Annandale United Methodist Church (next to Hmart on Heritage Drive) will be offering emergency food from Food For Others. The Heritage Campus building will be open from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on TUESDAY evenings for these emergency food referrals in order to help parents who have no transportation, or who work during the day. Please see Jane Thatcher, School Social Worker, in the Parent Center for a referral. Income and family information is required but is confidential and not shared with other agencies. This location will also be offering health screening, nutrition information and other services in the future. Watch the newsletter!
