DreamBox

gfd

Have you setup a Dreambox Parent Account yet? This is a great way to stay up-to-date with your child’s progress in Dreambox Learning. Dreambox Learning is a digital math program that allows students to access rigorous, standards based math curriculum that connects to what they are learning in the classroom. Dreambox promotes active learning and critical thinking and adapts to each student based on their input. A Parent Account allows you to view their progress, shares suggestions about how to support your child, and gives you insights into their math world.

Family Science Night/Innovation Fair

Family Science Night – Tuesday, February 18th 6:00-7:30

Family Science Night is coming up! This night of science and discovery will include activities from the Children’s Science Center, the Fairhill Innovation Fair, and STEM demonstrations! To encourage the students to visit all the events, they will receive a BINGO board upon arrival and earn a sticker at each location. We are asking each classroom to make this meaningful for their students.

Projects need to be turned in on Tuesday, February 18th to allow for proper setup. Students can bring their project to school or parents can drop it off at the library between 5:30 and 6:00 on Tuesday, February 18th

Questions? Please email Kaleigh Hartman at kkhartman@fcps.edu

Family Heritage Night... Save the Date

Please join us on March 6th for a great night of fun, sharing and learning!

Join us Friday, March 6th from 6:00-8:00 for this beloved Fairhill tradition. Come celebrate the diversity of our Fairhill community by bringing a favorite family dish, wearing traditional clothing, and learning about the heritage of others.

We ask that each family attending bring a “potluck” sized dish to share. If you would like to create a display board teaching others about the country you identify with or participate in the Fashion Show, please sign and return the permission slip found here.

Career Fair...Save the Date

Save the date for our second annual Career Fair on March 30th! The purpose of Career Day is to expose students to a variety of careers in order to jumpstart their thinking about the future. By preparing early, students will be more likely to be college and career ready after high school graduation. Students in grades 2-6 will participate in Career Day.

However, we can’t do it without you! Please be thinking about how you can support Career Day! More information on this flyer or see today's Tuesday Folder.

Fairhill Staff Basketball... Save the Date

Save the date of April 17th for our annual staff basketball game! New game plan for this year:

Fairhill vs. Fairhill

Will the Fairhill Lightening win or will it be Fairhill Shadows

Come and join the fun and cheer on your team at Falls Church High School. Doors will open at 5:30 and the game will begin at 6:30.

More information coming soon!
