Westfield Pyramid Concert: Wednesday, February 5th


It’s time for Westfield Pyramid’s annual Pyramid Concert, hosted by Westfield High School! Below, you will find information about the night’s logistics:

• ALL STUDENTS should be dropped off at Westfield at the REAR OF THE BUILDING (DOOR 7) where they will meet a teacher/staff member from their school for check in. From there, Westfield students will escort singers to a Warm-Up Room where they will meet their music teachers.

• Arrival Times: Please adhere to assigned arrival times. This will help us control traffic, and ensure that all students are met by a teacher/staff member that they know.

o McNair and Cub Run: 5:30 – 5:40

o Deer Park, Virginia Run, London Towne: 5:45 -5:55

o Floris, Coates: 6:00 – 6:10

• Please take everything from your child before they enter; they will not have space in the gym for anything to be stored, and the warm up rooms may not be available following the concert.

• Doors to the gym will open to admit parents by 6:00, and the concert will begin at promptly 7:00pm.

• A Concession Stand will be open beginning at 5:30 for Audience Members to enjoy.

• Please read over the drop off and dismissal procedures; we have planned very careful procedures in order to ensure a smooth and safe evening.

Drop Off and Parking Procedures

• Westfield School Security Staff and Fairfax County Police will be on campus to assist with safe and orderly parking.

• Students may ONLY be dropped off at DOOR 7 at the rear of the building (see map). Once the student has been dropped off, parents will be routed out of the drop off loop and back into our side lot to find parking. Audience members may enter through DOOR 11.

• You may park first, but your child must enter through DOOR 7 for check in; For student safety and accountability, no students in the concert will be accepted through DOOR 11. Parents will be asked to walk their students to Door 7.

• No parents may park in the bus loop unless directed by school security staff. Please use only the side parking lot.

Dismissal Procedures

• At the end of the concert, students will be escorted by school to a dismissal room. Once students have exited, Parents may head to the dismissal room where they can meet back up with student and leave through DOOR 11. Dismissal rooms will be listed in the program. In order to keep students organized and safe, no parent will be permitted to gather their student before they reach the dismissal room or from the bleachers. Parents are asked to wait for an announcement listing their specific school before exiting the gym to keep the hallways clear.

• Once you have collected your child, please leave through DOOR 11. Staggering the departure should mean that we all get out quickly! Please follow Police and Security direction when exiting the lot.

• We are excited to be enjoying concessions this year, but please dispose of any trash as you leave! Concessions will also be available following the concert.
