My name is Claire Houser. I just moved to Virginia with my family over the summer. I previously spent time teaching in Texas, California, Florida and Hawaii. I have two daughters, two cats, and two dogs. I love warm weather and the beach. I love to laugh and joke, and when I am not at Dogwood, I can usually be found in my kitchen cooking or baking. I am so excited to be a part of the Dogwood family!
Hi my name is Bette Stobo and here are some fun facts about me. I am a Northern Virginia Native, I actually graduated from Fairfax County Public Schools and attended college in Arlington Virginia. I am a proud graduate of Marymount University where I graduated with my bachelors in elementary education and masters in special education specialization. For the last four years I taught in Arlington County Public schools but last year moved to Herndon Virginia which prompted my move back to my roots in Fairfax County Public Schools. I have taught in Panama, Costa Rica, Ecuador and Uganda which I am very proud of and loved my experience abroad. I feel like my time teaching abroad has lead me to celebrate the diversity and cultures in my classroom. We also have a class pet a turtle named Oakie which students simply love and take care of proudly.
My name is Kelsey Bothwell. I have just moved here from Colorado where I taught Kindergarten and 1st grade. If you can’t find me, I’m probably in the mountains spending time in the great outdoors.

Dogwood Hours:
8:35am: Doors open
Bus riders and walkers enter through the front door and Kiss and Ride students enter through 5. All students go directly to classrooms.
8:50 am: Instruction begins
3:35 pm: Dismissal
Any changes to Dismissal procedures must be communicated before 3 pm.
